SP1 – International Diploma in Practical Sports Psychology

Diploma Overview

This Diploma in Sports Psychology course is made up of 9 modules – 8 study modules and one assessment module.

The overall aim of this Diploma course is to give the student an all round well-developed education in practical sports psychology to assist them in working with individual athletes and players as well as working with teams and groups. This overall course is aimed to enhance one”s ability to coach and/or manage athletes, players or teams in a more professional manner.

Over the past number of years there has been a gradual growth in interest in the part that sport psychology plays in achieving performance and success in sport. This International Diploma in Practical Sports Psychology is primarily intended for sports coaches and sports team managers to assist them in managing and leading their teams and athletes to greater success than heretofore. This course will introduce participants to the discipline of sport psychology–the study of the human mind and human behaviour in the world of sport. It will focus on the discipline’s key topics, and how psychological principles are applied to aid performance in sport.

Those who complete this course will be in a great position to assist their athletes, individual players and their teams to reach greater heights in sporting prowess and performance. They will be better coaches, better managers and better leaders from completing this accredited award course. However they will also be in a position to offer assistance and guidance to other teams and individual athletes in the area of mental strength and performance.

Course Information

This course is delivered in modular format. As soon as you gain entry to any module all the content for that module is accessible.

Each module is made-up of a series of topics. We encourage participants to study the modules and the topics within modules in the order presented.

Course Assessment

Module 9 is the course assessment module. A participant is given a topic or series of topics on which to write an essay and upload when completed. A  participant is given 4 weeks to complete this work.

Certificates will be posted out within 10 days of successful course completion

Course Enrolment Details

To enrol for this course an intending participant should click on Add to basket button to purchase all the course or to purchase the first module of the course. As each module is completed the participant goes online and purchases the following module as he or she wishes.

Each participant is enrolled for 60 days in any one module and are given this period in which to complete the module and the end of module assessment. Emails will be sent automatically to participants with the final 15 days of the course to remind them to complete the module or to ask for an extension.

If one has problems with completing each module in 60 days, they are asked to email admin@premiersportscollege.com for an extension. The request must arrive before the 5th last day of enrolment.
